Gala Coral To Have Cryptologic Games

In a press release from Dublin on the 6th of April, Cryptologic announced a multi-year deal with Gala Coral. Gala Coral is one of the biggest names in online gambling in the United Kingdom and offers a number of leading brands of online casinos. As per the agreement Cryptologic will offer at least ten of it most popular games to the brands of the Coral Gala group. The first few games will be live on Coral Casino, Eurobet, Gala Casino and Gala Bingo by the second quarter of this year. The remaining games will follow shortly.

This deal with Gala Coral is one more step in Cryptologic's pursuit of making strategic tie ups. According to Brian Hadfield, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cryptologic, this strategy is paying handsome dividends with new customers being regularly inducted into the Cryptologic fold. He also said that the focus on branded games was a key element of this strategy. Cryptologic has only recently announced a deal with Paramount Digital to develop branded slots based on their popular movies. Hadfield added, “Players consistently mention that Cryptologic has the world's best Internet casino software and it's exciting to see that major operators share their confidence in our games.” It is based on the revenue from deals like this one that Cryptologic had projected a net income of about $10 million for the year 2009 as against an incurred loss for the year 2008.

Though Cryptologic ended 2008 with a loss it was a fruitful year for the company. It executed agreements for sharing a poker network with Boss Media AB, an activity that is now complete. Cryptologic secured ten new customers that include big names like 888, PartyGaming, BSkyB and GigaMedia. It released 34 new games including branded slots like Street Fighter II, Sub-Mariner and King Kong. Cryptologic also won several industry awards including the highly prestigious Top Casino Software Award from Gambling Online Magazine.

Gala Coral too has expressed satisfaction at the deal. Gala Coral offers casino, bingo and bookmaking services both online and in land based operations. It is one of the top gambling operators in Europe, employing over 19,000 people. Joe Coughlin, Gala Coral's Head of New Product Development, said that what drew his company to Cryptologic was their suite of the best branded slots in the business. This deal would enable the customers playing at the various online casinos of Gala Coral to continue to enjoy the finest entertainment and gambling experience.

The financial details of the agreement are not available. Nor is it known exactly which Cryptologic games will feature in Gala Coral's brands in the coming months. However as Justin Thouin of Cryptologic said, “The combination of Cryptologic's top-notch slot games and Gala Coral's experience in online betting and gaming make this partnership a natural fit.”
