Scratch Cards at Microgaming Online Casinos

Like every other online gaming software provider, Microgaming offers a number of scratch cards in its games portfolio. These can be found in the Other Games section in the Games menu. Many of the scratch cards are in the standard format. Players have to scratch squares on a card and if they reveal three matching symbols then they receive a payout. In some cases the symbols are the multipliers and the payout is determined by the multiplier matched. In other cases the symbols are thematic and are linked to multipliers through a pay table.

However some of the scratch card games have been made more interesting. The essence remains the same, which is to match symbols or multipliers but the format is tweaked. One such game is Whack-A-Jackpot. The screen reveals 16 holes. When the game is activated by clicking the New Card button moles appear randomly from a number of holes making squeaking sounds. The player has to click on one of them. On the screen the chosen mole is bopped on the head with a mallet and starts seeing stars. A multiplier is revealed that ranges from 1x to 10,000x. Instead of a multiplier being revealed the player may get a strike. The player keeps on bopping the moles till he reveals three matching multipliers or three strikes. The player should wager on this game with the audio enabled because it has great animated audiovisuals that are not found on ordinary scratch cards. A similar game is Foamy Fortunes. The game is set in a bubble bath and players have to burst bubbles instead of having to bop moles. Three rubber ducks strike the player out.

Mumbai Magic is a scratch card game in a different format and has Indian movies as its theme. In the center of the screen is an actress holding a crystal ball. When the game is activated the crystal ball randomly generates symbols associated with Indian films. As each symbol is generated it moves to its position in the circle round the central actress. If there are two matching symbols in the six symbols generated the player receives a payout corresponding to the matching symbol. The symbols include actors, dancers, musical instruments, clapper boards, movie reels and award statues. The multipliers range from 2x to 10,000x.

A scratch card closer to the usual format is Turtley Awesome. Instead of 12 squares on a card there are 12 turtles surfing in the sea. Instead of scratching a square to reveal a multiplier the player clicks on a turtle. The turtle performs a back flip to reveal a multiplier. Players have to get three matching multipliers in nine clicks.

Even the regular scratch cards come in interesting themes. Dawn of the Bread is not for the faint hearted. Nine loaves have been baked by the Frankenstein looking baker. Clicking on the loaves reveal the symbols, which unfortunately are unpalatable. They include all kinds of creepy crawlies, and body parts like dentures and eyeballs. But there are plenty of pleasurable themes. Slam Funk has funky basket ball players, Wild Champions has animal athletes and Freezing Fuzzballs has cute creatures from the poles.
